Hi, I’m Hayley,

A multi-award-winning wedding cake designer and successful business owner of Hayley Elizabeth Cake Design and Hayley Elizabeth Coaching.

I’m also a mum to two beautiful children D’Arcy and Harrison and Dexter the beagle.

My business journey with cake has gone from strength to strength in the last 8 years. But it hasn’t been easy.

I know the challenges you face running a business. Especially having children and anything else life throws into the mix.

Before the world of icing and butter, I had a successful career which started in the Army.   I trained as a medic and then went on to train in the operating theatre. 

This took me all over the world and then when I left the army I continued my career at home.

This came to an abrupt end in 2009, due to sustained injuries in a car accident.

During my recovery, sugarcraft allowed me to learn a new skill and refocus my attention on something positive.

 Soon realised I had a natural flair and, interest grew with friends and family.

 

From humble beginnings at local farmers markets. I have gone on to specialise in luxury, bespoke wedding cakes with an emphasis on sugar flowers and texture.

I now provide wedding cakes across the south of England, including high profile clients and prestigious venues.

My 8 years in business has seen me in countless blogs worldwide, Domestic and international press, wedding cakes featured on national TV. I have won Gold at Cake International and awards for wedding cake designer of the year in my area spanning from 2014 to 2018

Also, a regular contributor to cake tutorials in squires magazine publications and I have taught students in Ireland and my studio in Hampshire.

Succeeding in all aspects of running a cake business. I turn away more work than I can take on as I can pick and choose who I want to work with and when I want to work. This is what working for yourself is all about!!.

I want to now help other cake designers to succeed as I have. Knowing how hard you work and how much you dedicate to your business. I’ve watched countless cake businesses start and fail and I am on a mission to educate on all aspects of the business of cake so we can all succeed.

This is why Hayley Elizabeth Coaching was created.

There are countless courses on decorating and baking but not enough on running a cake business. The actual fundamentals of surviving and succeeding.

I want to give back to an industry that helped me through the dark times of coming to terms with losing my career.  Giving me a new focus and success I never imagined was attainable.
